Engine 1 - At Headquarters

The Branford Fire Department is comprised of both career professional and volunteer firefighters. Its origin may be traced to the early 1800’s. Branford's current Fire Headquarters was built in 1963. The new building would be staffed with career personnel.

Jack Tweed was hired as full-time Deputy Chief/Fire Marshal, along with six new firefighters. All the men had been members of the Branford Volunteer Fire Department.    BranfordFire.com
